For the past ten years, I’ve been a teacher in the Cook County school system, specializing in Math, English and Special Needs. I’ve worked with a lot of different grades, but most of my experience is in the elementary grades, K-6th. After getting my master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama in 2001, I have dedicated my time to helping children grow and succeed! I moved to Chicago in 2002 and have loved every minute of my time in the city - it’s truly an awesome place! When I was working on my master’s, I was also a guitar tutor for college students in my area and have been playing in one band or another ever since. I also love my dog and the parks in my neighborhood! Although I can only tutor at night or after school during the school year, I have a flexible schedule in the summer and winter months. While I primarily work with children, I’d love to be able to help you if needed with the upper level subjects as well, such as algebra and trigonometry. I can’t wait to start working with you or your child! I’m the cool tutor you’ve been looking for!*
