About the Position

WyzAnt is looking for an SEO Manager to lead the creation, execution, and optimization of our SEO strategy.  We are looking for a data-driven self-starter who is analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and has a love of experimentation.  Our ideal candidate will be passionate about having a significant impact - WyzAnt is a results-oriented environment where innovation is rewarded.

Responsibilities:

  • Refine our SEO strategy to increase keyword ranking (both # of keywords ranked and the ranking of existing keywords) across desktop and mobile
  • Manage all measurement and reporting of keyword analyses and daily and weekly organic traffic and ranking reports, identifying growth opportunities
  • Work with our Product and Development teams to build an SEO roadmap including (but not limited to) website architecture and linking, and manage implementation
  • Provide guidance to our content strategy and link building team
  • Build and execute our local SEO strategy
  • Own all technical and on-page seo; ensure that quality is maintained over time
  • Help set, and work towards, KPIs which complement overall marketing and business objectives
  • Train Product, Development, and Content teams on SEO needs and opportunities
  • Keep on top of best practices, shifting trends, and algorithm updates and understand their implications on our growth
  • Work closely with our content team to refine our content strategy on and off our site
  • Throwing tennis balls to our office dog, Bogie, in the middle of a meeting will also become second nature

Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO with a deep understanding of search algorithms and a proven track record of optimizing consumer internet brands.
  • Strong understanding of long tail SEO and all of the complexities that come with it
  • Experience conducting data-driven SEO site audits and familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Adwords, Adsense, SEO rank tracking and page analysis tools, and keyword research tools
  • Experience with link building, and experience managing a program that considers brand reputation as well as traffic growth
  • Strong knowledge of website design, HTML and XML
  • Working understanding of A/B testing, landing page optimization, website usability and conversion optimization principles
  • Experience with local SEO.  
  • Strong knowledge of how blogging, PR, and social media strategies can support SEO
  • Detail oriented leader with strong problem solving and analytic skills
  • Strong project management and communication skills
